Project Overview
AGD Trading is a Swiss trading company that required a comprehensive overhaul of their existing web application. The legacy system had accumulated technical debt over years of ad-hoc development, resulting in slow performance, limited reporting capabilities, and manual document processing workflows. Tedbin took over the project with the mandate to modernize the entire application — from infrastructure to user interface — while adding critical business features like multi-currency management and regulatory compliance reporting.

The platform includes a comprehensive suite of business tools: a multi-currency management system handling inflow and outflow transactions, reports fully compliant with Swiss Federal Tax Administration (FTA) requirements, a statistics dashboard with real-time analytics, commission tracking and calculation modules, transit management for goods in movement, automated mailing list management, presentation generation tools, and a label printing system integrated with warehouse operations. Each module was built to interoperate seamlessly while maintaining clean separation of concerns.
AI-Powered Document Processing
One of the most impactful additions was the integration of artificial intelligence for automatic document reading and form pre-filling. Trading operations generate substantial paperwork — invoices, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and shipping documents. Our AI integration uses optical character recognition combined with natural language processing to extract key data fields from scanned documents and automatically populate the corresponding forms in the application. This reduced manual data entry time by over 70% while significantly decreasing transcription errors.
Performance Results
The rebuilt platform achieved its primary performance target: response times under 1 second across all key queries, even with complex multi-table joins and large datasets.
